Nævernes Gaard
Nævernes Gard is located at Nevernes, right next to Nevernes Havn (Centre for coastal culture), approx. 9 km. from Hommelstø. Nævernes Gard is a converted barn, which now houses a war muesum and a banquet hall.
1. floor - War Museum
Memorabilias collected by Leif Torp, former employee at the Norwegian Broadcasting Corp., now retired. An extraordinary display of different objects representing both the Norwegian, the allied and the German sides, as well as written documentation from this period, 1940-45
2. floor - Banquet Hall
The banquet hall is a unique room where the old stalls have been retained - with 85 table seats, kitchen and a small stage.
It can be arranged with catering, accommodations at Vassenget Park Lodgings, and guiding in the facilities at Nevernes Havn.
